Bang and Olufsen Form 2

I recently re-acquainted myself with my Bang & Olufsen 'Form2' Headphones, a Christmas Present from an Ex's Mother last year.

I originally had hoped they would be a way to listen to dance music in my last apartment, where thin walls and an elderly neighbour meant that listening to Ministry of Sound at full bore at 9AM on a Sunday after a big night out was not an option.

However I never used them for that purpose, and in fact they have spent the last 9 months as a very beautiful accessory to my E1027 table by Eileen Gray and Artemide Tolomeo lamp.

But recently I have felt like having some beautiful soothing music to listen to as I read before sleep at night. I reunited my Black Ipod Nano with my Bang & Olufsen Form 2 headphones, and Ministry of Sounds Late Night Sessions. And this week - Dvorak's Czech Suite thanks to my friend Robin.

Head to your closest Bang & Olufsen Store or Apple Store and sample the Form2 for yourself.

Mens Grooming

I always like it when we men get dedicated services, especially when it comes to fashion, styling or leisure.

And when it is marketed at ALL men, with no distinction between hetero and homo, we are particularly happy.

I recently got a flyer in the mail from www.guysgrooming.com.au, and decided to check out the website.

I am keen to visit the salon - I hope it grows to the empire they envisage.

A Great guide to Greatness

I have recently completed reading 'The Greatness Guide' - one of the books penned by Robin Sharma.

I have mentioned this book before. Tomorrow I intend heading out to buy "The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari'.

I love to read when I go to bed, but i cant keep my eyes open for long, so The Greatness Guide with its short, sharp, no longer than 3 or 4 page chapters are perfect for me.

I think that the following chapter is the one I can relate to the most. I have lived both extremes and can see the benefits of aiming high and the futility of living humbly.

I can say however that when i first moved to Brisbane and was so broke i had to cut down on food and beer, my and have never been flatter.

I hope this chapter inspires you to read a bit more of Mr Sharma.

Commit to First Class
One of the personal habits I've consistently observed in the star performers and extraordinary leaders I've coached is their commitment to ensuring that their surroundings reflect their devotion to being world class. They drive the highest quality cars, live in the best homes and wear the finest clothes. Their philosophy generally seems to be, I stand for being the best so it only makes sense that I should invest in the best. Now here's the big idea: They held that belief even when they were not successful.

Greatness is, above all else, a state of mind. You need to believe in your potential and power before you can bring them to life. You need to feel like you are extraordinary before you can become extraordinary. I call this emotional blueprinting. To see spectacular results in your external life, you have to emotionally viscerally create a blueprint of your vision within your inner life.

One of the best ways I've discovered to achieve this feeling is to ensure that everything you surround yourself with is at the highest level. I remember reading a book years ago, written by a magician named Al Koran, called Bring Out the Magic in Your Mind. One of the ideas that stayed with me is his suggestion that, in order to be successful, it's important to go where the successful people are. Even if you have only $10, go have a coffee at the best restaurant in your city. His point? Your surroundings shape the way you feel. And the way you feel drives what you do. Feel world class and you'll behave world class.

Rewarding yourself with good things sends a message to the deepest and highest part of you. One that says I'm worth it and I deserve it.

Invest in the best. Buy the highest quality goods you can possibly afford. Better to buy one superb pair of shoes than three cheap ones (they'll last you longer and make you feel great while you are wearing them). I love the line: Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten. So true. When I was a young lawyer, just starting out, I took part of my first paycheck and invested it in a great watch. It wasn't a Rolex or a Cartier. But it was a good onethe best I could afford. My thinking was that it would last for years, make me feel successful while I wore it and actually end up saving me money because it would rarely need repairs. One of my friends, who always looked for the cheapest deal, laughed at me. But I turned out to be right (that does happen to me from time to time). My watch is still working perfectly. Never needed even one repair. My friend has gone through six watches during this time. Not only has he denied himself the positive feelings that high quality would have brought, but he has actually ended up spending more money than I did. Missed the forest for the trees.

I'm in no way encouraging a senseless addiction to material things. All I'm saying is that if you're really serious about standing for the best (and I know you are), then surround yourself with the best. Rewarding yourself with good things sends a message to the deepest and highest part of you. One that says I'm worth it and I deserve it. One that will inspire you to reach even higher, work even harder and be even better. To anyone who says that our self-worth should be so strong that high-quality goods won't affect how we feel, I'd respectfully suggest that such a statement misses the reality of human nature. I'm one of the most idealistic people you'll ever meet. But I'm also a realist (in all things balance, observed the Buddha). Every one of us likes nice things. They bring us pleasure. They appeal to our senses, just like a beautiful sunset or a magnificent mountain. True, material possessions don't bring lasting happiness. And there are many things in life that are far more important. But such things still are important. The best invest in the best. I might not be popular with you for making this point. But I owe you my truth. Reminds me of the words of one of my clients: My tastes are simple I just want the best.

My Six Pack Abs Healthy Meals of the Week
I've received lots of questions recently about exact meal ideas that are actually healthy and can help to
lose fat and get those six pack abs quicker. So, here's some ideas from some of my own super-healthy meals this week:

Breakfasts

  • 3 whole eggs scrambled with onions, mushrooms, peppers, asparagus, and raw grass-fed cheese (read here about why whole eggs are healthier than egg whites despite the myths you've been told) , or
  • grass-fed bison sausage (mmm, delicious and higher in CLA and omega-3s than regular grain fed meat)
  • sprouted grain toast (Ezekial) with almond butter or cashew butter and topped with fresh berries
  • my famous healthy tea mixtures - a great pre-workout drink too (I don't use sugar or artificial sweeteners, but rather stevia, and/or raw honey)

  • Lunches or mid-meal ideas during the day:
yogurt mixed with cottage cheese, some type of nuts (almonds, pecans, or walnuts), and mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, cherries, etc are all good choices) or
hard boiled eggs with veggie sticks and hummus
    or
piece of fruit with nut butter (peanut, almond, cashew, or pecan butters are my favorites)

Dinner ideas:

  • Any form of healthy meat such as organic grass-fed beef or bison or free-range chicken, wild fish, etc.

  • steamed veggies (sometimes with melted raw grass fed cheese on top)
mixed greens salad with avocado, dried cranberries, and homemade balsamic dressing using Udos Choice Oil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil with balsamic vinegar

Late Night Healthy Snack Ideas:

  • Almonds, pecans, walnuts, or cashews (preferably raw if possible)
cottage cheese and berries (can use a little
    stevia if need more sweetness)
hard boiled eggs and veggie sticks, chunks of raw grass fed cheese

I hope you enjoyed these healthy meal ideas to help give you options for a leaner healthier body. For even more ideas, see this complete list of my favorite healthiest foods - http://www.truthaboutabs.com/hard-body-nutrition.html.

Enjoy!

Sunday Brunch

Its Sunday and the end of me 'off the rail' week.

The week when i threw away the food routine, drank alcohol, ate cake almost every day. Its good to do this every now an again, to lighten up, shake up your metabolism, and remind yourself how much better you look and feel without these things.

Now, I am gearing up for the next couple of months ahead, getting the best 6pac abs I ever had.

To refresh, here is the food program that has been working wonders for me to date:
